Project Details  

The Nepean Bridge is a twin track, through truss, transom top bridge constructed from riveted steel sections and spans across the Nepean River in Penrith. The project covered the spot removal of existing red lead based paint and the application of a multi-coat paint system to the five spans of the bridge (272m).

Integral aspects of the project are as follows;

  • Installation of permanent walkway scaffold so as not to disrupt track movement
  • Staged scaffolding to allow access to workface
  • High pressure water wash & localised power tool cleaning of bridge steel work
  • Recycling of Wastewater.
  • Lead Paint Management
  • Encapsulation
  • Working under "Live Track" Environment
