Works included removing spalled concrete that had left large areas of the steel reinforcement
exposed.
EPTEC were awarded the work following development of repair solutions that met the Clients requirements. Costs and time for the project were minimised by selecting lightweight epoxy coatings combined with a corrosion protection system.
Safety management was a key consideration due to the potential for high flows in the culvert. EPTEC managed flow diversions and the confined space activities to provide a safe work environment.
