Description of works
The
project required grouting the annulus between the new FRP pipe lines and the old
host cast iron pipes. It required a very low viscosity mix that could fill
the void to and stabilise the new lines.
Through liaison with the client and the ability to draw on previous experience, EPTEC was able to design a grout mix that conformed to and exceeded the specification requirements.
The grout was able to flow through the pipeline annulus in excess of
expected distances, providing required support for the pipe. The installation
process provided minimum disruption to traffic and services.
