Corrosion Engineer 

We are looking for an experienced Corrosion Engineer specialising in Cathodic Protection to join CCE’s Melbourne office located at Tullamarine.

The role will include office and field based cathodic protection projects, including travel around Melbourne and to sites in regional areas of Victoria and South Australia.

Reporting to our Victoria Regional Manager, you will be committed to working in a client-focused and high service-orientated business that provides quality engineering solutions and field services.

Corrosion Engineer Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, review and approve written technical CP reports and make recommendations.
  • Support estimating and tendering team to prepare quotations and proposals.
  • Conduct field audits, surveys, testing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and reporting on cathodic protection systems for a variety of structures.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional English literacy.
  • Corrosion Engineer to have relevant tertiary qualifications in Materials / Corrosion / Chemical / Electrical Engineering (or similar).
  • Minimum 3 years Cathodic Protection experience with CP certification from NACE or ACA (minimum NACE CP-2 Technician or equivalent).
  • Previous exposure to oil & gas, water, marine CP systems and similar asset management industries advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the procedures, skills and technology used for sacrificial anode and impressed current cathodic protection systems on a wide range of buried or immersed metallic structures.
  • Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel around Victoria to complete site work where required.
  • Drivers Licence.

Painter/Team Leader

An opportunity exists for a Painter Team Leader with an eye for detail, capable of multitasking and a drive to help improve the operation to join our team.

SELECTION CRITERIA: To be considered for this role you must have:

Qualifications:

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • High Risk Work Licences (dependant on area of expertise)

Experience:

  • Experience with QA/QC coatings and surface preparation;
  • Experience in remedial and asset protection projects – structures and infrastructure;
  • Expertise in surface preparation and application of a variety of products including paint, epoxy, concrete, etc
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise 5 years plus experience
  • Ability to lead and develop teams to deliver quality projects
  • Experience with leading blue collar work teams and coordinating daily activities
  • Ability to interpret the scope of work and project documentation and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to implement safe working procedures and systems
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and suppliers

Estimator

A full time position has become available in Sydney, for an Estimator with experience in end to end tender submission with a Quality Assurance focus.

Skills/Experience:

  • 3 years experience in an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor role in the Construction Industry
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in asset protection or remedial construction industry projects
  • Experience in preparing Bill of Quantities for Protective Coatings, Protective Linings, Concrete Repairs, Cathodic Protection, Waterproof Coatings and or other such related remedial construction type activities

Materials Engineer

Due to the companies continuous growth, we have a new role for a Materials Engineer who will develop, process, combine, and test materials that will be used in production. From the data gathered and expertise, the Materials Engineer will also identify and recommend the most appropriate materials for specific applications.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering highly preferred; Masters Degree desirable.
  • At least five years of experience using composite materials either as Materials Engineer or a Process Engineer.

We offer a competitive salary and conditions of employment in accordance with market rates and your experience. We offer $93,000 full time rate annually plus super.

Construction Project Manager

We are looking for a person with experience on specialist construction related projects. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years’ experience in remedial, corrosion prevention and asset protection projects at a senior level.

We offer a competitive salary and conditions of employment in accordance with market rates and your experience. Indicatively, we offer $110,000 to $150,000 full time rate annually plus super and vehicle.

Project Engineer

Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Within this role you need to show initiative and work well within the team. You will need to have strong management and organisational skills to ensure that all project requirements are achieved.

We offer a competitive salary and conditions of employment in accordance with market rates and your experience. We currently have positions in the range $60,000 to $80,000 full time rate annually, however we are happy to accept EOI for more senior roles. We will also accept enquiries for new entrant roles for Graduates.

Painter / Abrasive Blaster

Experienced in a range of spray painting and abrasive blasting methods with a valid construction White Card. Having additional OHS certification and experience in confined spaces, heights and elevated work platforms is an advantage. When applying please be specific about your range of experience with this equipment.

Salary range of $55,000 to $72,000 full time rate annually (subject to experience) plus overtime and penalties in accordance with relevant Award/ Eptec’s Enterprise Agreement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 3-5 year’s project/contract administration experience working on medium/large size project within remediation, construction or civil infrastructure projects.
Relevant qualification in Engineering or Business-related administration. Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
Experience in the administration / management of financial records such as expenses, invoices, and purchase requisitions.
Experience with project financial systems
Intermediate/advanced level in the MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work within a team, build relationships, with exceptional customer service skills.

Painting Supervisor

Eptec has exciting opportunities within its Defence Division with opportunities to work on Australian Defence and Commercial Marine projects maintaining critical assets.

About the role

To be successful in this role you will need be a qualified tradesman with at least 2 -4  years’ experience as a Shipwright preparing and welding of ship parts which involves erection, alignment and securing of ship sections.

  • Studying plans and specifications, and preparing templates and scale plans for fabrication and cutting of hull sections
  • Welding of centre bulkheads, frames and brackets at portside and star board side
  • Welding of long itudenal central bulkheads and rope reels
  • Perform welding on carbon steel pipes, stainless steel plates, steam and high pressurised pipes
  • assembling shells of boats and erecting hull sections
